Help a fellow Brother and be a part of HollywoodDear Brothers:
My name is Matt Peek and I am a 1998 graduate of the Maryland Sigma Chapter at
Salisbury University. After graduating college I moved to Hollywood, California
with my sights set on making movies. After 5 years in I have acted in a variety
of smaller and unseen independent films, making it to Sundance Film Festival in
2001, and assisted on numerous others in various positions.
The reason I am writing to you all is because I am now at a crossroads where I
have this amazing film to make and sadly no money to do so. I have directed a
short and feature film, both of which hit the film festival circuit this fall,
and now I've sunk every penny I have into purchasing the script to an amazing
comedy. I have started a small production company, Four Rent Films
(www.four-rent-films.com) and I'm currently running around trying to get this
movie made.
Here's the point. I am in need of Seed Money. In order for me to get this movie
off the ground I need either a healthy dose of capital, $30,000, or a studio to
take it off my hands. If a studio were to take it I would certainly not be able
to direct, so I've chosen the harder course of making it myself. At this time
the budget for my film "The Big Fallacy" is set around 5 million
dollars but all I need is the $30,000 to get an Executive Producer on board and
then it's his job to get the rest of the money. I am currently in contact with
several Executive Producers with amazing track records and after the seed money
is in place I should have the full budget within 6 months.
This is where each and every one of you come in. If you could spare one or two
dollars or even 5 then with the sheer size of our fraternity I would have my
seed money in seconds. If you can spare anything I would be forever grateful
and certain to never forget it.
If you can please make donations through PAYPAL to the email address
mcpeeker@aol.com
I thank you all for your consideration.
Yours in the bonds and "Phi Alpha,"
Matt Peek MD Sigma, 98

Yankees vs. Mets Game This year we decided to change things a little bit by
going to a Yankees vs. Mets game, as you can get more New York than that. It
was a great time, both at the game and the after-party.

SAENYC helps undergrad get internship - Over

Dear Brother Souhrada,
I wanted to let you know that the internship search was successful! In fact,
the support I have received from SAE brothers has been incredible. It turned
out that the head of the New York Alumni Association contacted those in
Manhattan and an SAE brother took my resume and my information, gave it to his
wife, who then contacted her brother who worked for an Investor Relations firm
called Taylor-Rafferty in Manhattan. Her brother, now my boss, contacted me and
asked me to come in an interview and the rest just seemed to work out.
The support that the SAE community has provided is unbelievable. I was
talking to some of my brothers from Bucknell about my experience and I kept
telling all of them how I have gained a completely new appreciation for what it
means to be apart of this brotherhood. I am grateful to be part of such a tight
knit group. In fact the other day I had an SAE shirt on and was stopped by a
PHI ALPHA yell from across the street. I had a half an hour conversation with
another SAE brother where we shared our experiences and our appreciation for
SAE. It is amazing, anywhere you go, you are always supported, and I will
continue to uphold this tradition.
I wanted to thank you for all you have done to support my efforts. I cannot
tell you how much it means to me. I look forward to keeping in touch, take
care.
PHI ALPHA Brother,
Matthew Collier

Best Fraternities For Future CEOs
(Forbes Magazine)- Don't be surprised if you see your company directors
exchanging secret handshakes at the next board meeting. After all, about a
quarter of all chief executives on the Forbes Super 500 list of America's
largest corporations were members of college fraternities.
